When it comes to displaying signs of aging, including wrinkles and sun spots, the skin on the neck and chest is different to facial skin. The biggest difference is that the skin on the neck is lying on an extremely fibrous fascia, like a bed sheet – which means it wrinkles very easily. It is usually the first sign of visible aging and an age giveaway. In addition to neck skin wrinkling faster than skin on other parts of the body, the skin on the top of the chest is also very sensitive to sun damage, which can result in both wrinkling and hyperpigmentation.
In response, our scientists have formulated a powerful biopeptide-based cream that is particularly designed to protect and enhance the vital neck and décolleté area from the inevitable signs of aging. The skin regains its density, firmness, elasticity and smoothness. Neck Crème recreates epidermal homeostasis and restores the main cell functions: differentiation, proliferation, protein and lipid synthesis. Neck Crème forms a lipid bilayer on the skin. This bilayer interacts with the lipid bilayers within the stratum corneum to reinforce the skin’s natural barrier. It responds to varying temperatures and humidities to help balance and maintain the skin’s optimum hydration levels – conditions which change daily as we are exposed to seasonal variations and climate controlled environments. Moisturisers traditionally contain both humectants and occlusives. The former attract water to the skin and the latter lock it in. The skin’s Natural Moisturising Factors (NMF) consist mainly of lactate and pyroglutaminate components. These are easily washed off by soaps and other sufactants, resulting in the premature desquamation of the epithelial cells and a loss of suppleness. Neck Crème contains both sodium lactate and sodium PCA, as major NMF factors, as well as urea, glycine, phospholipids, fructose, ribose, inositol and niacinamide. These ingredients give Neck Crème it’s unique biomimetic properties. The niacinamide in Neck Creme has an occlusive and anti-aging effect, without being greasy. A published study found that 2% niacinamide was more effective than petrolatum (a common occlusive ingredient in moisturisers) in reducing water loss from the skin and in increasing its moisture levels. Niacinamide is also a potent anti-aging, firming and skin brightening ingredient. Sweet Almond Oil, rich in vitamins A & E, and highly refined Shea Butter, rich in Allantoin, confer additional moisturising and protective antioxidants. N-acetyl-glucosamine (NAG) & Niacinamide, together, confer multiple skin benefits, including pigmentation reduction, decrease in sallowness and increased skin elasticity and tone. They also synergistically promote natural desquamation of the skin, without the need for exfoliation.
Extended exposure to Ultraviolet (UV) rays triggers the overproduction of Melanin (a pigment that gives your skin a colour), the main cause of hyperpigmentation, also known as age spots or dark spots. Niacinamide doesn’t reduce the production of melanin but it helps prevent Melanin reaching the top layers of the skin, by about 68%. In an 8 week clinical-trial, niacinamide was shown to reduce the appearance of dark spots by more than 25% and even out skin tone.

How to use:
Apply once or twice a day, below the jaw-line to the neck and decolletage area, after cleansing and application of serums. This product is not a sun-block, so remember to use a good sun-block when necessary.
